Funeral Service for Bobby Frank Gordon, 79, of Greenville, former Vice President of Hager Hinge will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He passed away on Wednesday June 23, 2021. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Gordon was born in Eupora, MS on March 24th, 1942 to Ernest O’Neal Gordon and Modie Lee Johnson. Mr. Gordon moved to Greenville in the early ‘50s. In 1967, he married Margie Holloway and started their life together on Ridge Avenue in Greenville. Bobby started his manufacturing career at Demco were he worked as a production supervisor. Bobby advanced his career when he joined Hager Hinge as the Plant Manager and built the Greenville hinge facility, Bobby worked with Hager Hinge for 40 years. He was a member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. He loved gospel music and loved to sing. “The Gordon Family” traveled around the Delta singing gospel music and recording their No.1 best selling album “Country Gospel”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest O’Neal and Modie Lee Johnson Gordon, brothers, Douglas, Jake, and Billy Wayne and sister Pauly Sherron.
Survivors include his wife Margie Holloway Gordon of Greenville, two daughters Debbie (Jeff) Hester, Denise (Jonathan) Toler both of Greenville; three sisters Christine Crowley of Greenville, Ernestine Lonneberg of Aniston, Al, and Faye Hitt of Cleveland; five grandchildren Justin (Samantha) Dillon, Brent (Onna) Dillon, Madison Hester, Braeland and Kaylee Toler and three great-grand children Justin and Natalie Dillon, and Mackenzie Dillon
There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
