Funeral services for Bobby Lee Moorman, 71, of Greenville will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Sunday, December 30 at Washington Care Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Moorman was born in Charleston, MS moving to Greenville at an early age where he graduated from E. E. Bass High School. He served in the U. S. Army from 1966 to 1969 and after his discharge he returned to Greenville where he worked as a mechanic and carpenter. Mr. Moorman was active in racing and was a member of the Greenville Drag Racing Association. He was a Baptist.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Joe Moorman. He is survived by 2 sons, Eddie Moorman and Brad Smith (Paige); daughter, Suzy Goodwin (Bobby); brother, Lynn Moorman (Lucy); sister, Judy McKenzie (Joe); six grandchildren, Bobby Moorman, Tyler, Courtney, and Trey Goodwin, Carlee and Cody Smith; and two great grandchildren, Bryson Moorman and Maci Jane Goodwin.
There will be a visitation from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
