Funeral services for Bonnie Waldon Horton of Hollandale will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 25 at Hollandale Baptist Church. She died Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Sharkey Issaquena Community Hospital in Rolling Fork. Burial will follow in the Hollandale Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Boone funeral Home, Leland.
Bonnie was born February 20, 1946, the daughter of Tommy Lee and Daisy Waldon. She graduated from Hollandale High School in 1964 and married Jerry Horton on June 5, 1964. Bonnie worked at the Bank of Hollandale for 29 years. She was a member of Hollandale Baptist Church.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Joyce Pritchett and Margaret LaFon. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Horton of Hollandale; a daughter, Valerie Bruton (Jeffery) of Glen Allan; a sister, Eileen Kelley (Bob) of Greenville; 3 grandchildren, Magan King (Keith) of Leland, Madison Bruton of Glen Allan, and Michael Bruton of Leland; and 2 great-grandchildren, Mary Waldon King and Mark King III.
A visitation will be held one hour before services at the church on Monday. Memorials may be made to Hollandale Baptist Church.
