Memorial services for Charlene Evers Putman, 72, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7 at New Beginnings Fellowship formerly Southside Baptist Church. She passed away on Thursday, January 5 at Allegiance Specialty Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Charlene was born in Lexington, MS on December 14, 1944 the daughter of Robert and Edrey Evers. They later moved to Greenville where she received her education. She was married to Jim Putman for 32 years and he preceded her in death in April 2016. Charlene had worked for Delta Regional Medical Center in the mid 80’s as a clerical secretary. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Paula Oltremari and her son, Chazz Aaron Oltremari of Greenville; son, Robert Louis Oltremari and his daughters, Brittany Allyson Oltremari and Jacquelyn Brooke Oltremari of Greenville; son, Charles Oltremari of Cold Water; 2 stepsons, Paul “Peanut” Oltremari of Murfreesboro, TN and John Wayne Oltremari of Bandon; sister, Bobbye Ann Oltremari of Greenville; twin brother, Charles Evers of Greenville and 5 step grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7 at the church. Memorials may be made to New Beginnings Fellowship.
