Charles Barry “Bubba” Cummings, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the age of 54, at Delta Health – The Medical Center in Greenville, MS. Surrounded by his loving family, he left this world free of pain and has now found his new home in peace.
Born on October 21, 1971, in Greenville, MS, Bubba was the beloved son of Charles Oliver Cummings, Jr., and Deborah Mabus Cummings. He grew up in Greenville, a lifelong resident, and a friend to many. His spirit was kind, his smile infectious, and his love for family everything.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Charles Oliver Cummings, Sr., Louise Beard, Billy Neal Mabus, and Jean Kirksey Mabus.
Bubba is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Karen Cummings McKay (Steven) of Greenville, MS, Jennifer Cummings Mallette (Justin) of Lake Village, AR, along with his brother, Craig Colby Cummings of Greenville, MS. He will be dearly missed by his siblings, along with his niece, Alden McKay Sims (Tommy) of Leland, MS, and two nephews, Jacob Tyler Mallette and Logan Reed Mallette of Lake Village, AR, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial graveside service will take place at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
