Funeral services for Charles Duane Mullens, 53, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at his home. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Charles was born November 3, 1965 to Sylvia Cain. He attended Greenville Public Schools and was employed with Jim Avis Construction until ill health forced his retirement.
Charles was an avid hunter, but spent most of his weekends at the Greenville Speedway driving his number 1 car in his early years and then later being a fan.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Mary Wilson and grandfather, Charlie Wilson.
He is survived by his mother, Sylvia Cain of Greenville; two daughters, Samantha Mullens (Brian) and Onna Dillon (Brent) all of Greenville; son, Sam St.Clair (Mallory) of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Hayden Gilliland, Mackenzie Dillon both of Greenville and Hadleigh St.Clair of Cleveland; brother, Tony Cain (Leslie) of Starkville; sister, Candy Hale of Louisiana; two uncles, Tommy Wilson and Charles Wilson both of Greenville; and an aunt, Earnestine Blaylock of Yazoo City. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Ressia and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charles never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ethan Hale, Justin Waller, Austin Waller, A. C. Parker, Randy Phillips and Justin Dillon.
