Funeral services for Charles Earl Morrow, 72, of Hollandale will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Hollandale Baptist Church. He died Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. Burial will be in the Hollandale Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Mr. Morrow was born in Eupora, MS where he graduated from high school. After graduation he moved to Hollandale where he served on the Police Force and is also where he met and married his wife of 50 years, Polly Bagley. After serving as a police officer he later worked with Delta & Pine Land retiring after 30 years. He also served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. Mr. Morrow served on the Hollandale Board of Alderman, was Vice Mayor and served as Mayor for 2 terms.
He was a member of Hollandale Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Winford and Berma Morrow and a sister, Karen M. Williams. He is survived by his wife, Polly Bagley Morrow of Hollandale; daughter, Beth Koennecke (Jared) of Johnson City, TX; granddaughter, Hannah Koennecke of Johnson City, TX and a sister, Judy Estes (Tony) of Decatur, MS.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the services at the church. The family request memorials be made to the Baptist Children’s Village or to any Animal Rescue Mission.
