Charles Scott Kerg, Jr.

Funeral services for Charles Scott Kerg, Jr., 65, of Kingwood, TX and formerly of Greenville will be at Noon on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church.  He passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 in Texas.  Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
 
Mr. Kerg was born on July 1, 1954 in Greenville, MS the son of Charles Scott Kerg and Nell Jones Kerg.  He graduated from Greenville High School and went on to attend Mississippi State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree.  He lived in Memphis, TN from 1985 until 2000.   He moved to Houston-Kingwood, TX where he worked for Continental Airlines which later became United Airlines.  He retired as Project Manager in March of this year.
 
Charles could light up a room with his contagious laugh and never met a stranger. He loved cheering on his Mississippi State Bulldogs, Houston Astros and Houston Texans. He was a loyal fan. Charles’s true passion was playing the guitar and singing the Blues.  He also enjoyed a good round of golf.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Betty Dean, whom he was very close to.
 
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth “Nellie” Webb (Bryce) of Cypress, TX; granddaughter, Makayla Webb of Cypress, TX; nephew, Bob Long (Gil) of The Woodlands, TX and four great nieces and nephews.
 
There will be a visitation from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.  Friends and Family are invited for refreshments in the Ladies Parlor at the church following interment.
