Graveside services for Chester Dallas Dalton, 66, of Greenville will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 2 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. He died Sunday, July 30 at Crystal Health and Rehab in Greenwood. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was born in Vicksburg, MS on September 24, 1950 to Edwin E. and Rosa Odom Dalton. He worked most of his life on a towboat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda and a brother, David E. Dalton. He is survived by a daughter, Angela Dalton of Richland; step daughter, Amanda Hodges of Greenville; brother, Palmer E. Dalton of Hemett, CA; 4 sisters, Dorothy Hughes (Tommy) of Greenville, Joyce Whorton of Hollandale, Sarah Thompson of Carlisle, AR and Rita Issa of Pueblo, CO; 6 grandchildren; special friend, Anna Haley of Richland and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
