Funeral services for Christine Gordon Crowley, 87, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Monday, August 16, 2021 at Delta Health-The Medical Center. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Garden under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Crowley was born in Millport, AL where she received her education. She married James Crowley and they had made their home in Greenville since the early 60’s. She was employed at Greenville Mills for several years and had a home daycare for several years. She was affectionately known as “Mamaw” by those who knew her and was loved by all. Mrs. Crowley was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. She was also a part of the Gordon Family choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991; a daughter, Alice Thomas, grandson, Jeremy Johnson, granddaughter, Laurie Thomas, son-in-law, Dennis Thomas, son-in-law Terry Johnson, four brothers, Bobby, Douglas, J. C. and Billy Gordon and by a sister, Polly Sherron.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane Johnson and Brenda Crowley; grandson Chris (Heather) Johnson; granddaughter Heather (Gary) Manus; 5 great grandchildren and two sisters, Faye Hitt and Ernestine Lonneberg.
There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
