Clara Lee Ingram Swain

Funeral services for Clara Lee Ingram Swain, 89, of Leland will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 5 at Boone Funeral Home, Leland. She died Wednesday, May 3 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland. 

Mrs. Swain was born in Blackstone, VA moving to Shaw, MS with her family where they had farming interest. She graduated from Shaw High School and attended Draughons Business College in Memphis for 2 years. She moved to Leland from Memphis in 1950 where she owned a Dry Cleaners in Leland for over 20 years and was also a seamstress. She also taught at Leland VoTech School. 

She was a member of Leland Garden Club, Daughters of American Revolution and was a member of First Baptist Church, Leland. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Cecil E. Swain, son, John Swain, twin grandchildren, three brothers, John Ingram, Wesley Ingram and Charles Ingram and a sister, Louise Ingram. 

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Swain Case (Bill) of Greenwood; 2 sons, Johnny Weilenman (Lelane) of Leland and Charles Swain (Debbie) of Southaven; sister, Cathy Ingram of Tampa, FL; brother, J. Boyd Ingram of Batesville ;9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the friends and caregivers of Golden Age Nursing home for the loving care for the last years of her life.

There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
