Claude Koenig

Memorial services for Claude Koenig, Jr., 83, of Greenville formerly of Lake Village, AR will be at 2:00 p.m, Saturday, April 16 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Greenville. He died Friday, April 8 at home with his family.

Claude was a Navy veteran and served in the Korean War. The best days of his life were spent cooking for his family and friends and fishing on the lake. He leaves his loved ones with the remarkable memories he created. Claude was a salesman for Vickery Chevrolet for many years. He owned Koenig Marine in Lake Village. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Koenig, Sr., and a brother, Jake Koenig. 

He is survived by his dedicated and loving wife, Pat Koenig of Greenville, his children, Ken Koenig of Greenville, Kaye Koenig Burke (Gerry) of Memphis, TN, and Kirk Koenig of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren, Grace Skertich (Ryan), Andrew Hammond (Natalie), and Hays Hammond, all of Memphis, Wiley Koenig, Jacob Koenig, Mary Katherine Koenig, and John Claude Koenig, all of Greenville; and five great-grandsons. Siblings and best friends, Mary Jane Herring Thomas of Wisner, LA, Joseph Walter “Dub” Koenig of Pine Bluff, AR, and Deloris Ann “Tootie” Trotter of Winterville; step-children, Stan Woodcock (Betty), Brad Woodcock (Donna), Lori Tigue (Terry), Holly Dunn (Bart), seven step-grandchildren, Kristina Jones, Paul Stanley Woodcock, Tyrone Gilbert, Dru Gilbert, Tyler Tigue, Carley Woodcock O’Neal, Jesse Woodcock and seven step-great-grandchildren. Pop was loved by all! He will be missed dearly. 

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16 at Trinity United Methodist Church in the parlor.
