Clifton Allen Ratcliff

Clifton Allen Ratcliff, known as Cliff, was born June 20, 1961, in Houston, TX to the late Clyde and Robbie Ratcliff. Throughout his childhood, he lived in Cotter, Arkansas, Carrolton, MS, and various towns along the MS Delta. In 1981 he married Betty Nicholson and together they had one child, a daughter, Amanda.

Cliff joined the US ARMY in 1983 and was honorably discharged in 1986. Eventually, Cliff and Betty settled down and made their home in Glen Allan, MS. Shortly after Betty’s death in 2005 Cliff moved to Oklahoma. In 2011 he met Zia Romines with whom he shared the rest of his life with.

Cliff was a loving son, brother, husband, friend, father, partner, and grandfather. He was everyone’s favorite uncle and a mentor and friend to all.

He passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, in Oklahoma City surrounded by family and friends.

Cliff was proceeded in death by his wife, Betty Ratcliff, his parents Clyde and Robbie Ratcliff, a sister, Cynthia Brock, a nephew Stephen Ratcliff, and a niece, Teresa Rochelle.

He is survived by his partner, Zia Romines, his daughter, Amanda Martin, his sister Peggy (Ali) Naraghi, his brother, Steve (Laurie) Ratcliff, his grandson, Connor (Katelyn) Renfroe, his granddaughter Harper Martin, 2 great-grandchildren, Ivy Roberts and Gray Renfroe, a stepson Dalton Romines, a stepdaughter Melissa Romines, a step-granddaughter Iris Romines, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 10:00 am until noon at Boone Funeral Home in Greenville. Graveside services will immediately follow at County Line Cemetery in Glen Allan. His daughter, Amanda Martin will officiate the service and all are welcome to share a memory, story, or sentiment at the service.
