Clifton R. “Brad” Bradford

Funeral services for Clifton R. “Brad” Bradford, age 95, of Greenville, MS will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville, MS. He died on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at The Magnolia at Oxford Commons in Oxford, MS. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mr. Bradford, a long time resident of Greenville MS, was the son of the late Sarah White Bradford and Ed Bradford of Steele, MO.

Mr. Bradford graduated from Steele, MO High School in 1946 and enlisted in the Army and served one year in Korea. Upon his return he attended Arkansas State College for three years and then transferred to Mississippi State University and graduated in January 1952. He worked one year teaching veterans on the farm training in Glen Allen, MS. On September 1, 1953 he started working for United States Gypsum Company as Safety Supervisor. In January 1965 he was promoted to Human Resource Manager until his retirement in January 1996.

Mr. Bradford was a member of the Elks Club for 68 years one of which he was Exalted Ruler (1964-1965). He enjoyed unselfishly helping others when he could.

Brad is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Jean Milhorn Bradford, and son Dr. Craig Allen Bradford. He is survived by one daughter, Sarah Frances “Sancy” Bradford Womack (Michael) of Dumas, MS; daughter in law Lynn McNeely Bradford, Natchez, MS; brothers Joe Bradford (Ruth) , Silva, MO and Roy Milton “Chuck” Bradford of Caruthersville, MO; four grandchildren Sarah Ann Womack Jackson (Josh) of Madison, MS, Jennifer Michelle Womack of Marked Tree, AR, Chase Allen Bradford (Leslie) of Camp Lejeune, NC, and Cole Bentley Bradford (Whitney) of Natchez MS; six great grandchildren are Corey Michael Womack of Dumas, MS; Harley Jackson of Madison, MS; Matthew Bradford of Camp Lejeune, NC, Elizabeth Bradford of Camp Lejeune, NC, Hayes Bradford of Natchez, MS and Ella Blair Bradford of Natchez, MS. and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
