Clyde Alvin Triplett

Funeral Services for Clyde Alvin Triplett, 91, of Leland will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20 at Boone Funeral Home, Leland.  He died Wednesday, October 17 at Delta Regional Medical Center.  Burial will be in the Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.

Mr. Triplett was born in Louise, MS where he received his education.  His employment with Morson and Sterling brought him to Leland where he met and married Lena Merchant.    Morson and Sterling split, becoming two separate companies.  Mr. Triplett remained an employee with Sterling Petroleum which was later bought out by Gresham Petroleum.  He was still an employee with Gresham until his death. 

Mr. Triplett was a member of the Masonic Lodge where he was a Master Mason and became a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite.  He was also a member of the Good Sams Club where he served on the State Office for over 10 years.  He was an avid hunter and was a member of the Huntington Point Club where he served several terms as President and on the Board of Directors.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Leland.

Mrs. Triplett preceded in him in death on October 7, 2018. He is survived by two sons, Clyde A. Triplett, Jr. (Pattie) of Leland and Robert Lance Triplett (Cindy) of Greenville; brother, Andrew Max Triplett of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, Robert Lance Triplett, Jr. of Brandon, Meghan Lane Triplett of Newnan, GA and Merideth Lynn Shackleford of Greenville, SC and three great grandchildren, Carson Mack Triplett, Kaylee Lynn Shackleford and Aubrey Kate Shackleford.

There will be a visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
