Funeral services for Clyde Carroll Shaw, 92, of Leland will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the County Line Cemetery in Glen Allan, MS. He died on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
Clyde was born in Alcorn County, Corinth, MS, on December 1, 1933, to Clara May Rogers and Andrew Vernon Shaw. As a young lad, he attended church at Tisomingo Chapel Baptist Church. He also started his education at Bone Yard, Alcorn County, Corinth, MS.
Clyde proudly served his Country in the US Army and spent his time in Japan and Korea. He worked as a Generator Operator and Heavy Artilleryman. He became SP-3d class before leaving Korea in 1957 and had an early separation of overseas returnees, with an honorable discharge.
He married Iva Nell Stokes on March 9, 1959, and he was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church since 1967, during which he served as Usher, Trustee, and Deacon.
Clyde worked as a Diesel Mechanic at Massey Ferguson, and while there, he went to college in Atlanta, GA, and earned several Diesel Certificates. He also worked with Universal Marines Company and Delta Implement. He semi-retired and purchased an 18-wheeler. Later, he started working with Kellebrew Farms, Engine Rebuild, and Henry Brothers before retiring in 2005.
He loved deer hunting and camping with his sons and friends.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Iva; three sons, Anthony (Alicia) Shaw of Greenville, MS, Kevin (Patti) Shaw of Lake Village, AR, and Robert Shaw of Pea Ridge, AR; two daughters, Roxanne (Robert) Worbington of Leland, MS and Rhonda (James) Pickering of Springdale, AR; eight grandchildren, Grace (Jason) Beckum, Patricia (Cameron) Parkerson, Gary (Heather) Manus, Bridgett (Sam) Permenter, Angelia Shaw, Wilburn (Charlse) Shaw, Lyndsey (JT) Ferguson, and Jeremiah Pickering; nineteen great-grandchildren, Alyssa (John) Childers, Joseph Theunissen, Kristin (Dakota) Rijos, Conner Jennings, Breanna, Isaac, C.J. and Elijah Parkerson, Thomas and Allyson Manus, Skylar Shaw, Sean and Kali Permenter, Jaxon Shaw and Lillie Dunham, Braiden Reynolds, Charley Robert Shaw, Lawson Ferguson and Noah Watkins; and three great-great-grandchildren, Logan and Bryce Childers and Cason Theunissen.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Vernon Shaw; his brother, Edward Shaw; his sister, Eather Dunn; three stepbrothers, Charles, Walter, and David Clevenger; and his lovely grandparents, Docia and Will Rodgers, and Sue and Millard Shaw.
It is sad to know Clyde has gone, but his influence will live to bless all who knew him. Having completed his mission here, having done his work so well and faithfully. His rest will be sweet, for there remains a rest for the people of God.
Jesus will welcome Clyde home, where sorrow is never known. Our loss is his gain. He will rejoin those whom he loved. Family and friends will never part in this place called Heaven.
