Funeral services for Colleen Guest Kuhn, 81, of Greenville were at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at First Baptist Church Chapel, Greenville. She died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at University Medical Center, Jackson, Mississippi. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born in Malvern, Arkansas on April 11, 1932 the daughter of Martin James Guest and Clatie Bailey Guest. She came to Greenville to pursue her career as a cosmetologist. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where she and her husband taught children’s Sunday School for 36 years. One of her favorite pastimes was cooking and she was well known for her homemade coconut cakes.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Troy Delton Guest of LaPort, TX and James Keith Guest of Hamburg, AR.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Percy L. Kuhn, her daughter, Lanette Kuhn of Greenville, two sisters, Ruby Taunton, of El Dorado, AR, and Vyrl Nelms, of Ft. Smith, AR, and many nieces and nephews.
The family received friends one hour before services.
