Collin “Buddy” Wesley Bingham III

Funeral services for Collin “Buddy” Wesley Bingham III, 61, of Lorman and formerly of Greenville will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23 at Boone-Smith Funeral Home. He died Saturday, November 19 in Port Gibson, MS. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. 

Buddy was born in Greenville, MS on February 7, 1955, he was the son of Collin Wesley Bingham, Jr. and Rose Bishop Bingham. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1973. Buddy worked with the Greenville Fire Department for 20 years and retired as Assistant Fire Chief in 1994. He was a certified smoke diver and he was the first certified hazmat technician in the state of Mississippi. He was the fireman of the year in 1984, 1988 and 1990. He was also an instructor at the Mississippi State Fire Academy for 15 years. Buddy worked as a paramedic at Delta Regional Medical Center for 22 years and recently moved to Lorman, MS where he was a paramedic with AMR for 6 years. 

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Genia Hancock Bingham of Lorman; 2 daughters, Jennifer Hambrick (Stephen) of Springfield, LA and Sunny Bingham of Lexington, KY a son, Collin “B.J.” Wesley Bingham IV (Brittany) of Crystal Springs, MS; 3 brothers, Steven “Butch” Bingham (Cindy) of Kosciusko, MS, Robert “Bobo” Bingham (Sharon) of Amory, MS and Charles “Buster” Bingham (Vicki) of Cleveland, MS; and 3 grandchildren, Kelly Hambrick, Austin Hambrick and Emily Hambrick. 

There will be a visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22 at Boone-Smith Funeral Home.
