Funeral services for Curtis Wayne Ray, Sr. or “BoBo” as he was known by those who loved him, will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 14, 2020 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at Malone Cemetery in Coxburg, MS.
He was born on June 22, 1954 to Milton Ray and JoAnn Ray. A loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend, he was loved by all who knew him, and picked on by everyone he met.
He loved to hunt and fish and could often be found on the lake or in the woods with his sons and grandkids.
Mr. Ray was employed for 18 years with Delta Regional Medical Center as a Maintenance Supervisor and he enjoyed doing carpentry work as a trade.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Martin Ray of Greenville, MS; sons, Curtis Ray, Jr. (Andi) of Yazoo City, MS and Clifton Ray (Taylor) of Greenville, MS; daughter, Melissa Vaughn (Paul) of Kilgore, TX; brother, Randy Ray of Greenville, MS; sisters, Angie Ray and Dana Russell of Benton, AR; grandchildren, Makenzie, Kelsey, Aubrey, Collins, and Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his mother, JoAnne Ray and father, Milton Ray and sister, Sandra Ray.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-10:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
