His outgoing spirit and love of politics led to service in student government at the University among many other accomplishments. His strong work ethic and determination resulted in a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with honors in 1988.

After graduating, David began a career with Walmart, holding several different positions across Mississippi and Arkansas, eventually landing in Pine Bluff, AR in 1993. They shared 29 beautiful years together during which they raised their two beloved daughters.

David excelled in the retail industry, holding several territorial management positions with Walmart, Bill’s Dollar Stores, Dollar General, and Pilot/Flying J Travel Centers. His heart for service was evident in his many philanthropy projects and fundraising activities for Make-A-Wish Foundation, Florida Literacy Coalition, and Toys for Tots.

David was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister for various parishes through the years. He was strong and determined throughout his life and this was never more evident than in the past six years.
