Funeral Mass for Debra Lipe Daws, 56, of Dekalb, MS will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at John C. Stennis Memorial Hospital in Dekalb. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.
Debra was born in Greenville on February 17, 1959 the daughter of Vance and Teresa Lipe. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School and then attended Mississippi State University graduating in 1983 with a BA in Landscape Architecture. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Debra was a loving wife, mother, daughter, niece, aunt and cousin whom will be missed dearly by all.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Lipe and brother-in-law, Steve Daws. She is survived by her husband David Gaston Daws of Dekalb; 2 sons, Thomas McKee Daws of Nashville, TN and Evan Michael Daws of Memphis, TN; parents, Vance and Teresa Lipe of Greenville; grandson, Aiden Cumberland of Hot Springs, AR; 2 sisters, Teresa Willis of Belz, TN and Stephanie Lipe of Long Beach, MS; 3 brothers, Vance Lipe of Greenville, Sam Lipe of Memphis, TN and Daniel Lipe of Miami, FL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, T.R. and Nell Daws of Dekalb; brother-in-law Michael Daws of Covington, TN; sister-in-law, Janet Daws Jones of Champaign, IL and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School.
