Delores Tucker Martin, “Delo”, age 83, of Greenville, MS passed away following extensive medical conditions on February 15, 2023, at Delta Health-The Medical Center.
She is survived by her 3 children: Denise Martin (Carmen Taylor), Donna Brooks (Douglas) and Jimmy Martin (April); 1 grandchild, Leah Brooks, and 3 great grandchildren, Kendra, McKinley, and McKensie Brooks; her sister Nancy Musgrave, her niece Stephanie Clinkscales, and her nephews Scooter Tucker and Jeffrey Musgrave.
Delores was preceded in death by her brother “Mac” Tucker, her mother Ethel M. Tucker, and her father N.M. Tucker.
Delores was born on February 19, 1939 and lived most of her life in Greenville. She retired as a bookkeeper at J&H Diesel after working many years at Vickery Chevrolet.
“Delo” as she was known to her friends and family loved to travel, especially to the MS Gulf Coast (especially during Mardi Gras), Pensacola Beach, the Smokey Mountains, to watch her daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter’s horse shows, or just to Leland to Jimmy and April’s back yard patio. Delo was a boisterous individual who rarely met a stranger. She was strong willed and very proud of her family, especially her children. Delo will be missed by so many.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff of the Delta Health-The Medical Center ICU staff and nurses in the ER department. Additionally, special thanks to the entire staff at Mississippi Care Center.
Visitation for Delores will be held at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville on Tuesday, February, 21, 2023 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. with private graveside following.
