Funeral services for Dennis Dewitt Clark, 84, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 2658 Hwy 1 South, Greenville, MS 38701, 662-332-0197. There will be a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. He died on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was born in Stewart, MS, moving to Greenville where he received his education. In 1958 he married Lorette Cohea. Dennis worked with Farm Fresh Catfish and later Delta Pride. He owned and operated D&D Clark Trucking retiring in 2016. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God. Dennis had a passion for trail riding with his mules and wagons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Berry Clark and Lillie Gray Smith Clark; a son, Dennis Dewitt Clark II; daughter, Deborah Denise Clark; and four brothers, Darrell Childress, Douglas Childress, Delbert Childress, and Dorice Clark.
He is survived by his wife Lorette Clark; two daughters, Lisa Ward and Dawn Wylie; son, Donnie Clark; sister Peggy Holmes; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
