Dominic Michael Fava

Memorial services for Dominic Michael Fava, 63, of Brandon will be a Noon, Monday, January 30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Greenville with a reception afterwards in the Parish Hall. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and family on Monday, January 23. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. 

Nick worked as a young man at Fava Brothers Grocery. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in Greenville and attended St. Catherine’s College in Kentucky and Mississippi State University. 

Nick became co-owner of Fava Brothers Grocery with his cousin Margaret Fava Regnier of Benton, AR. After many years as co-owner and sole owner of Fava Brothers Grocery he changed his career and began working with Galliano Marine Company in Louisiana. He enjoyed many years as the chef and able bodied seaman. He was beloved by his crew, captains, coordinators alike. 

Nick’s passion was cooking and spending time with family, friends, and dogs, and supporting the Mississippi Bull Dogs. He was loved by all who knew him as he was a kind and loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Domenick P. Fava and Zemeta (Bae) Ferretti Fava both of Greenville and sister-in-law, Laura B. Edwards. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Brent Fava; 3 loving sisters, Paula Fava of Brandon, Annette Fava Willis of Lynn, MA and Barbara Ann Fava of St. Catherines, KY; 5 nephews, Ricky Willis of Binghamton, NY, Matthew Willis of Beverly, MA, Stephen J. Dantone of Bedford, PA, John Marcus Jourdan of KY and John Leighton Edwards of Natchez, MS; 2 nieces, Ashley Burrus of Nashville, TN and Mary Ellen Mendosa of Nashville, TN; mother-in-law, Ann B. Henson of Bedford, PA; sister-in-law, Diane B. Dantone and two faithful dogs, Deacon Bleu and Delilah.
