Graveside services for Dora Carolyn Kelley Lloyd, age 93, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 29, 2026. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born on September 2, 1933, in Crossett, Arkansas, to James Carroll Kelley and Amie Elizabeth Townsend Kelley.
Carolyn graduated from Crossett High School in 1951 and from King’s Daughters Hospital School of Nursing in Greenville, Mississippi, in 1955 as a registered nurse. She had a long career in nursing at King’s Daughters Hospital and later Kidney Care Dialysis throughout the Mississippi Delta until her retirement.
Carolyn was an active and devoted member of First United Methodist Church in Greenville. She especially enjoyed working with the youth group and chaperoning many youth choir trips as their nurse. She also took photographs for the church archives room, helping preserve the history and memories of the church.
She enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, photography, traveling, and spending as much time as she could with her family that she loved and treasured.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, James Carroll Kelley and Amie Elizabeth Townsend Kelley, and her husband, Sam Crawford Lloyd Jr.
She is survived by her two children, Jim Lloyd (Cindy) and Linda Marchetti (John); six grandchildren, Kelley Lloyd Cadden (Dan), Lauren Lloyd Westbrook (Jamie), Jamie Lloyd Lancaster (Zach), Gray Marchetti Blocker (Tyler), Robert Marchetti (fiancée Johanna Beeland), and Joe Marchetti (Abigail); and nine great-grandchildren, Ross and Thomas Cadden, Owen and Tate Westbrook, Jack and Ford Lancaster, and Cora, Amie, and Clare Blocker.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to all the care partners, nurses, and staff at SummerHouse Beau Ridge Memory Care, and her hospice nurse, Anna. You were all like family to us.
