Funeral services for Doris Lucille Hardy Branning Laird, 90 of Greenville will be at 1:00 P.M, Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Monday, November 11, 2019 at Washington Care Center. Burial will be in Hollandale Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home.
She was born September 18, 1929 in Satartia, MS to Albert Hearn Hardy and Ruby Lucille Foster Hardy. Mrs. Laird enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, attending Church activities and tending to her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, David Branning and Infant son, grandsons Jonathon Smith and Hunter Branning, brothers Vaughn, Preston, Vernon, Bobby Lee, James and Leonard Hardy, sister, Rita Janos.
Mrs. Laird is survived by 3 daughters, Lynda Naron (B.A.) of Grenada, MS, Debbie Branning of Greenville, Vicky Turnage ( Danny) of Leland; 3 sons William Branning (Sharon) of Harrison, AR, Roger Branning (Kaye) of Pensacola, FL and Dennis Branning (Shannon) of Bogue Chitto, MS; brother Melvin Hardy (Betty) McComb, MS; sisters, Ruby Dawson, Clinton, MS, Nathalee Johnston, Crosby, MS, Vera Spencer (Carl) of Byram, MS, Erma Green , Magee, MS. Mrs. Laird is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at Boone Funeral Home.
