Funeral Services for Dorothy Haag Bogue, 99, of Hollandale will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 29 at First United Methodist Church, Hollandale. She died Thursday February 25 in Sikeston, MO. Burial will be in Hollandale City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
She celebrated her 99th birthday on January 20. She was born in Gunnison, MS to Charles and Edna Geter Haag. She earned her bachelor degree from Delta State College and her masters degree at the University of Mississippi. On August 29, 1940, she married Jeff Bogue of Tchula, MS.
Mrs. Bogue was a teacher and school administrator for 38 years, teaching first grade most of those years. She led the team that wrote the elementary school curriculum for Mississippi ETV. She loved to travel and work in her garden, growing vegetables and flowers. She was an avid Ole Miss Rebels fan.
She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Pattie Bogue of Sikeston, Missouri, and a grandson, Jeff Bogue IV of Germantown, Tennessee.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Rev. Paul Knight will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Hollandale.
