Douglas Barrett Hutcherson, 95, of Greenville died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Delta Health-The Medical Center. Boone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hutcherson was born in Lamont, MS during the 1927 flood. He graduated from Benoit High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving during World War II and during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge he made his home in Greenville where he worked in the retail business and owned and operated Pac and Sac Grocery. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Crow Hutcherson. He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Langford (William) of Portland, OR and Billie Priest (Ron) of Hot Springs, AR; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth, John, James and Sarah Langford.
