Graveside services for Eileen Lee Childers, 93, of Greenville will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the Greenville Cemetery. She died Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Delta Health-The Medical Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born on July 19, 1930, in Portsmouth, VA to Paul and Gladys Lee. She lived most of her life in Kinston, North Carolina where she married her husband, Howard Childers. She spent 40 years at Bell South where she retired as a telephone operator.
She enjoyed being at the beach, fishing, and taking care of her dogs. Most recently she has lived in Greenville, MS with her sister and has been taken care of by numerous doctors, nurses, therapists, and sitters. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Gladys Lee, her brother Robert Lee, and her husband Howard Childers.
She is survived by her sister, Gladys Lee Bennett.
