Funeral services for Elaine Burnside Parrish, 86, of Greenville will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 30 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Friday, September 27 at her home. Graveside services will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Parrish was born in Hattiesburg. She attended and graduated from Central High School in Jackson. She married John M. Parrish in 1951, and he preceded her in death in 1996. They made their home in Cleveland in 1959 and moved to Greenville in 1969. She was a wonderful homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, David Jeffery in 1957. Mrs. Parrish was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1969.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Paula Parrish of Greenville, Gwen Mador (Lindsey)of Cleveland, MS, and Sharon Coleman (Robert) of Merigold, MS; a son, John Marcus Parrish, Jr. (Kristen) of Franklin, TN; 3 sisters, Katheleen Davis of Waterford, Wisconsin, Norma Davis (Gerald) and Patsy Patrick (Richard) all of Meridian, MS; 2 brothers, Hoke Burnside (Elizabeth) of Katy, Texas and Carter Burnside (Frances) of Clinton, MS; 7 grandchildren, Allyn Hinton (Brandon), Parrish Coleman, Elliot Mador (Brittany), Katy Crump (Will), Erin Mador, Alyce Mador, and Newt Parrish and 1 great-granddaughter, Maddie Elaine Mador.
Visitation will be one hour before the services Monday at Boone Funeral Home.
