Elizabeth Anne Harthcock, age 69, of Maumelle, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 16, 1956, in Greenville, Mississippi, and lived her early life in Indianola, Mississippi, the second of two children. She was a life-long Methodist. Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi State College for Women, where she was a proud Silhouette. She received her advanced degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Elizabeth came from a family of teachers. Both her mother and maternal grandmother were elementary teachers, and she was proud to continue the tradition. She taught middle school special education in Forest County, Mississippi, for most of her career before moving to Cabot, Arkansas, and joining the special education staff of the Pulaski County Special School District, where she retired.

Elizabeth made life-long connections wherever she went. She and her grade school friends were connected to the very end of her life. Her Hattiesburg friends thought of her as family; their children became the children she could never have for herself. She is predeceased by her parents, Clyde E. Harthcock and Elizabeth Marie Harthcock (Herring). She is survived by her brother Clyde Faison Harthcock; sister-in-law Sheila Samuelson Harthcock; nephew Timothy Noel Harthcock (Anna); niece Brittany Paige Franklin (Ryan); and the grandnieces and nephew Alyssa Franklin, Emma Franklin, Ethan Harthcock, and Stella Harthcock.
