Funeral services for Elizabeth Sandidge Hutchison, 89, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 9 at Avon United Methodist Church. She died Wednesday, January 6 at Washington Care Center. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
Mrs. Hutchison was born in Glen Allan, MS moving to Avon at an early age where she graduated from Riverside High School. She then worked for First National Bank as a teller until her retirement in 1985. In 1949 she married the love of her life, Thomas, and they were married for 63 years until his death in 2012. They traveled all over the world and had many wonderful adventures together. Mrs. Hutchison was a member of Avon United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by 2 brothers, James E. Sandidge and Thomas Lynwood Sandidge.
She is survived by 2 sister-in-laws, Sue Sandidge of Leland and Myrtis Sandidge of Greenville; 3 nephews, Lyn Sandidge (Nita) of Diamondhead, MS, Ralph Sandidge of Leland and James E. Sandidge (Russell) of Orlando, FL; a niece, Mickie Sandidge of Greenville; 2 great nieces, Emily Pieralisi (Brian) of Leland, and Lauren Sandidge of St. Louis, MO; a great-nephew, Thomas Sandidge (Melonie) of Wayside and 3 great-great nephews, Leonardo, Valentino and Camp Pieralisi of Leland.
The family would like to thank Eiboo’s two caregivers, Gerri McVay and Sue Montgomery.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to Avon United Methodist Church.
