Graveside services for Ernest Doyle Sims, 65, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 18 at Indianola City Cemetery. He died Wednesday, August 16 at home. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was born on December 13, 1951, the son of David Leon Sims and Vivian Nolan Sims. Mr. Sims spent most of his life in the used car business working for Economart Auto Sales for many years. He also promoted boxing in the Greenville area. Mr. Sims was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Wanda Kay.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; 2 daughters, Davy Ann Ford (Kenny) of Greenville and Christy Griffin of Greenville; brother, David Allen Sims (Shawn) of Gulfport; 4 grandchildren, Leeann, Kasey, Taygen and Layton; and great grandchild, Brantley.
There will be a visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Friday, August 19 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
