Graveside services for Evelyn Marie Jaynes Keeling, 85, of Greenville will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. Rev. Mark Rowland will be officiating. She passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Delta Health-The Medical Center.
Evelyn was born in Nashville, TN, on February 18, 1939 to Ralph and Cleta Jaynes.
After marrying Robert L. Keeling in 1957, and spending a short time in Memphis, TN, they moved to Greenville, MS, where they resided and raised their children.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Pat, and 2 brothers, Al and Rick, a grandson, Steven, and a great-grandson, Steven.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons, Carl (Rita) Keeling, Steve (Kriss) Keeling of Greenville, MS; one daughter, Terry Jones of Greenville, SC; and sister, Cathy (Phil) Hester of Nashville, sister-in-law, Joan Burchfield of Columbus, MS; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She prayed for them daily for their well-being. She loved her church family at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Greenville. Most of all she loved the Bible and loved what God had done for her and for all who will obey Him.
