Funeral services for Ferrel Robertson, 85 of Jackson, TN and formerly of Greenville will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 5 at Boone-Smith Funeral Home, 1580 S. Colorado, Greenville, MS. He died on June 2, 2017 in Jackson, TN. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was born on January 14, 1932 in Cruger, MS to Lester and Bessie Robertson. Ferrell entered into Holy Matrimony with his bride, Edna Moore, on August 19, 1950 in Greenville, MS (they were married for 66 years). He was the owner of F. W. Robertson Plumbing for 55 years in Greenville. He liked to hunt, fish, and play dominoes. He sponsored the Robertson Plumbing Fast Pitch Softball team where he won many trophies and was in the 1990 Hall of Fame. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Louis Robertson. He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife Edna; 5 daughters, Janice Dunagan (Dan) of Jackson, TN, Debbie Tabb (Ronnie) of Winston-Salem, NC, Jill Brown (Donnie) of Cleveland, TN, Joy Hughes (Johnny) of Greenville and Cathy Dobbins (David) of Brandon, MS; 4 sisters, Mae Wilson of Lake Village, AR, Mary Kavitz of Collins, MS, Peggy Bartell (Louie) of Collins, MS, and Nancy Lewis (Dan) of Biloxi; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and neighbors.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home in Greenville, MS. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 129 Oil Well Road, Jackson, TN 38305.
