Graveside services for Florence Adams Whatley, 94, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Lehrton Cemetery. She passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at her home.
She was born in Thorsby, AL moving to Birmingham at an early age where she graduated high school. She later made her home in the Mississippi Delta where she met and married Marvin Whatley, Sr. Florence and her husband were well known roofers throughout the Delta.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; and by two children, Billy Joe Whatley and Mary Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Hill and her husband Danny, whom she loved like her own son and Alice Barnett; three sons, Marvin Whatley, Jr. (Ashley), Hartford Adams and Jerry Lee Adams; 11 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.
