Graveside services for Florine Wright Dodd Nichols, 91, of Greenville will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. She passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at The Pinnacle. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born in Isola, MS and moved to Greenville at an early age where she graduated from high school. After graduation she married L. B. Dodd and they made their home in Greenville. He preceded her in death in 1992. She later married Bob “Pappy” Nichols and they made their home in Leland. He preceded her in death in 2013.
Mrs. Nichols worked as a bookkeeper at S. Goodmans for several years, then later worked at the Greenville Vocational Center and part-time at Walmart. She had been a resident at The Pinnacle for the last five years. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Doug Dodd and his wife, Connie Dodd, grandson, David Dodd and great grandson Greyson Dodd and son-in-law, Jerry Oltremari.
She is survived by son, Stephen Boyett Dodd (Stephanie); daughter, Bettye Gayle Dodd Oltremari; sister, Tera Cook; brother, Grant Wright; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation for the family on Saturday at Boone Funeral Home.
