Frances Watford Woods, 80, of Richland, Mississippi and formally of Greenville, Mississippi, passed away on April 19, 2026 at home. Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Hollandale City Cemetery, Hollandale, Mississippi at 11:00 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville, Mississippi.
Frances was born on February 17, 1946, in Hollandale, Mississippi, to the late Lloyd Watford, Sr. and Lillian Howard Watford. She was the wife of the late Bobby Keith Woods for 48 years.
She graduated high school from Greenville High School in 1964. She was a telephone operator, medical file clerk, and medical secretary during her working years. She loved to cross stitch and do word puzzles. Her time was spent raising 2 children and looking after her 2 grandsons. She was raised Baptist and went to Delta City Baptist Church and Swiftwater Baptist Church in Greenville, where she was a member for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lillian Watford of Hollandale, Mississippi; her husband, Keith Woods of Delta City and Greenville, Mississippi; brother Wallace Watford of Belzoni, Mississippi; brother Cecil Watford of Eunice, Louisiana; brother Robert Watford of Hollandale, Mississippi; sister Mary “Dale” Carroll of Byram, Mississippi, and her beloved son, Kenneth Woods of Greenville, Mississippi and Magee, Mississippi.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Woods Sanders of Greenville and Richland, Mississippi; her grandson, Garrett Sanders of Richland, Mississippi, grandson, Gavyn Sanders of Richland, Mississippi, and brother, Lloyd Watford, Jr. (Janette) of Huntsville, Alabama. She also leaves behind her beloved adopted cat, Daisy.
