Frank Anthony Cascio, Sr.

Funeral services for Frank Anthony Cascio, Sr., 91, of Leland, will be Saturday, November 12, 2016, at St. James Catholic Church in Leland. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with Rosary at 10:30 followed by a Funeral Mass. He died Thursday, November 10, at Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Greenville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland. 

Frank Anthony Cascio was born August 9, 1925, to Anthony Cascio and Rose Farrish Cascio in Leland, Mississippi. He graduated from Leland High School. He attended Mississippi State University and graduated from Soule Business College in New Orleans. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. He returned to Leland to work in the family business, Cascio Brothers Grocery, until his retirement. He was married to Ethel Bassi who preceded him in death in 1992. 

He also was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Vince, Sammy, and Charlie Cascio, sister Sarah Ratliff, and great granddaughter, Meri August Jones. 

He is survived by 3 daughters, Adrienne (Larry) Kussman, Linda Thomas, and Diane (Joe) Giachelli all of Leland; son, Frank (Teresa) Cascio, Jr. of Greenville, Alabama and 9 grandchildren, Callie (Brody) Buckley of Brandon, Larry (Ashley) Kussman, Jr. of Warren, AR, Rebecca Sims of Fort Deposit, AL, Frank (Amber) Cascio, III of Charlotte, NC, Lauren (Todd) McGee, Mary Elizabeth (Brandon) Baldwin, Joey (Cathy) Giachelli, Jay (Kim) Giachelli, and Christy (Andy) Jones; 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, as well as his dear friends at Magnolia Gardens. 

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the nurses and sitters of Delta Regional Hospice and the sitters and caregivers at Magnolia Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers, the Cascio family requests that donations be made to St. James Catholic Church in Leland or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
