Funeral Mass for Frank Anthony Serio, 86, of Greenville will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He passed away peacefully on July 31 at his home. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.
Mr. Serio was born in Greenville on September 23, 1929 to Dora Maggio Serio and Sam Stevens Serio. A graduate of St. Rose of Lima School in Greenville, he served active duty in the United States Navy from 1952-1954. A salesman by trade, he became an accomplished furniture upholsterer. He married Joyce Jones of Murphy, MS on June 2, 1957, who preceded him in death in 1991. Mr. Serio married Margueritte Fulmer on May 11, 1994.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Paul Serio. He is survived by his wife, Margueritte Serio, two sons, Frank John (Rayetta) Serio of Greenville and Jody Serio of Lake Arthur, LA; one sister, Teresa (Vance) Lipe of Long Beach, MS; three step-sons, Marcus (Sharyn) McClure of Rock Hill, SC, Curtiss McClure of Waterbury, CT, and Lance (Misty) McClure of Southaven, MS; four granchildren, Amber Smith of Lafayette, LA, Brandy Serio of Greenville, Frank Joseph Serio and Elese Ann Serio of Greenville; two great-grandchildren, Caine and Bentley Smith of Lafayette, LA, and numerous step-grandchildren and great step-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a rosary to follow. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Greenville, MS, St. Joseph Catholic School, Greenville, MS or to Arms of Mercy, Greenville, MS.
