Frank Baird Jr., aged 91, son of Frank Baird Sr. and Ida Gregory Baird, passed away on September 20, 2021. Services will be held at 11am Friday, September 24 at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, MS. He grew up in Greenville, graduated from Greenville High School, and attended Ole Miss. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He joined his father’s wholesale hardware company, Baird and Company, where he became president. He married Beverly Furr of Hollandale.
Frank was highly thought of and respected within his industry and took his civic responsibility seriously. He served his country, his community, and his church. He was a selfless caregiver to his family and many friends, and he left a lasting impression on the many people he helped.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife. He is survived by his only son Frank Gregory Baird and his wife Yvette, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and his brother Robert Baird.
