Memorial services for Frank Marion Duncan, age 100, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Delta Health-The Medical Center. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Duncan was born in Chatham, MS and graduated from St. Clara’s Academy in Yazoo City. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force in 1944 where he was a flight instructor. After his discharge he attended Mississippi State University graduating with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then made his home in Jackson where he was employed with MS Valley Gas, transferring in 1955 to Greenville where he worked until retiring as District Manager.
Mr. Duncan was active with Civic Clubs and volunteered with the Red Cross, receiving the Volunteer of the Year award. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church serving on many committees. He was an avid gardener and loved to share his produce.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Lee Joy Raymond in 1988; his second wife, Catherine Mitchell in 2009; a son, Robert Duncan and by five siblings.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Loflin and Joy Marie Crowe (Mike); sister, Mildred Sanders; two grandchildren, Duncan Loflin and Taylor Duncan; and three great grandchildren, Landon, Cash and J.R. Duncan.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the services at the church.
