Frank Smith

Frank Smith, 60, of Albany, LA and formerly of Greenville passed away peacefully after a brief and sudden illness on April 13, 2019 at North Oaks Medical in Hammond, LA with his daughters and family by his side.  Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on his birthday, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. Burial is under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
 
Frankie was born in Kentucky on May 25, 1958 to Opal Lowery and Wilburn F. Smith, Sr., growing up and attending school in Greenville.  His love for the river took him on many adventures working on the Delta Queen and The Mississippi Queen as a young adult and then following in his fathers footsteps, in the riverboat industry.  He was a Mate, pursuing his dream of becoming a Pilot.  Frank enjoyed traveling, music, flying powered shute planes, but most of all boating and fishing were his true passions.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Smith, his parents and a sister, Tammy Smith.  He is survived by the mother of his children and three children, Samantha Smith and Tammy Smith both of Muscle Shoals, AL and Honor Smith of Louisiana; three grandchildren, Parker, Nahla, and Kaymen; three sisters, Opal Greenlee of Gainesville, FL, Brenda Burns and Mylinda Jefferson both of Flippin, AR; two brothers, Curtis Greenlee (Sherry) of Albany and James Smith of Baton Rouge, LA.
