He was a devout Christian. Matthew 7:16 says, “You will know them by their fruit”. Wayne truly lived out the fruit of the spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23) He was the family patriarch. He loved his family but, most of all, he loved his wife. They were married 64 years. His family prayers during family gatherings were a staple in his home. He lived his life as a witness to Jesus Christ. Wayne was a longtime member of Glendale Baptist Church; living a life of ministry; a deacon, Sunday School teacher, R.A. leader and what brought him most joy was leading the tape ministry. Bringing the word of God to those who were no longer able to physically attend church. He recruited the youth to be involved in this ministry.
He was a prankster, always picking with his grandchildren. He loved to study the bible, read, do puzzles and make spoon rings.
Wayne was an athlete; a running back for the Anguilla Panthers he was known as “Choo Choo Wanker”. No one could stop him. He was an avid sports fan. Wayne was a Seabee in the United Staves Navy. He loved his Country.
