Funeral services for Freddie Wayne Belue, 69, of Greenville will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 19 at Maranatha Assembly of God Church. He died Saturday, February 16 at his home. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Belue was born in Aberdeen, MS where he received his education. He enlisted in the U. S. Army at the age of 17 and turned 18 on his way to Vietnam where he served two tours as a Huey Door Gunner. After his discharge he made his home in Greenville. Mr. Belue attended Mississippi Delta Community College where he became certified in Air Condition, Plumbing and Electrical. He started his business, Climate Conditioning that later became Belue’s Plumbing which he owned and operated until his death.
He was a member of the VFW and he donated his time to building the Boys and Girls Club. He was also a member of Maranatha Assembly of God Church.
In the 1970’s he married Carolyn Faye Campbell and she preceded him in death in 2009. He is also preceded in death by an infant daughter, April Carolyn Belue in 1973.
Mr. Belue never met a stranger and will be missed by all.
He is survived by a son, Freddie Wayne Belue II (Raven) of Memphis, TN; sister, Barbara Belue Adams of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Alex and Katelyn Belue and by a nephew, Greg Adams.
There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, February 18 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
