Gailyne Picard Sutherland

Funeral Mass for Gailyne Picard Sutherland, 75, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church, Leland.  She died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at her home in Greenville.  Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.

Gailyne was born and raised in Livonia, LA where she attended Livonia High School.  She then married and raised five children.  In 1975 she moved to the Mississippi Delta where she was employed by Sunflower Food Store, Black Dog Gin and The Snack Shop.  Gailyne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and occasionally going to the casino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Blanche Picard, 2 brothers, Lester PIcard and John Benny Picard; daughter, Cynthia Marie Chustz, grandson, Jules Oreste Chustz and a daughter-in-law Jeanne Vosburg Chustz.

She is survived by 4 sons, Jimmy Chustz (Tammy) of New Roads, LA, Pappy Chustz of New Roads, LA, Brian Chustz (Terri) of Leland, MS and Nicholas Sutherland of Greenville MS; 2 sisters, Dorothy Picard Berthelot of Baton Rouge, LA and Violet Picard Ramirez of Baton Rouge, LA; 2 brothers, Steve Picard of Baton Rouge, LA and Walter Roy Picard of Austin, TX; 10 grandchildren, Hanna Chustz, Cory Chustz (Kendall), Alex Chustz, Shainna Chustz, Wade Chustz, Brett Chustz, Avery Sutherland, Mollie Sutherland, Toby Callegan and Jessica Behrnes; 3 great grandchildren, Rylan Stacliff, Page Callegan and Miles Callegan.

Pallbears will be Alex Chustz, Cory Chustz, Wade Chustz, Avery Sutherland, Peyton Swindler and Will Rutland.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral at St. James Catholic Church.  The family would like to thank Sara Jones with Delta Regional Hospice and especially Chance Owens and Marcella Brown.
