Gene Leonard Coleman

Funeral services for Gene Leonard Coleman, 84, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 20 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Monday in Kosciusko. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. 

Gene was born on January 17, 1932 in Boyle, MS. He was the son of Clem and Mae Coleman. Gene was a long time hydraulic business owner until his retirement. 

He is survived by his 5 children, Carolyn Pinnix of Sierra Vista, AZ, Barbara Coleman of Sliddell, LA, Gladys Quinn of Nashville, TN, Jimmy Coleman of Greenville, and Kathryn Allegrezza of Greenville; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Billy Coleman, Larry Coleman and Robert Coleman; 4 sisters, Diana Coleman, Betty Touchstone, Jane Reynolds, Joyce Dyson and his extended family at Mississippi State Veterans Home, Kosciusko, including his “favorite” nurse, “Lovie”. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose Burns Coleman, his parents, his brother, Alfred Coleman, sister, Peggy Friddle and infant sister, Frances.

There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
