George Edmund Suares

Funeral services for George Edmund Suares, 58, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.  He died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at his home.  Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.

George was born on November 4, 1955 in Greenville, MS at King’s Daughters Hospital to Dr. John C. Suares and the late Marie Suares.  He graduated from Greenville High School in 1975 and attended the University of Southern Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He worked for the City of Greenville as a draftsman and he also worked at Family Medical Center for 15 years as a medical technician.

George was a life-long learner and lover of animals.  He was an avid water skier and car collector.  His passion was horses, and he was a member of the Washington County Sheriff’s Posse.  He participated in numerous rodeos, where his favorite event was flag racing.  He was a faithful participant in the Greenville Christmas parade with his decorated horses.

George will be missed by his family for his creativity and playful spirit.  He was a warm and kindhearted person, affectionately known as Uncle George, devoted son, loyal brother and cherished husband. His presence will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. John Suares, Jr. of Biloxi.

He is survived by his wife, Chambrea Suares of Greenville; father, Dr. John C. Suares of Greenville; brother, Dr. Bob Suares of Greenville and sister, Ann Marshall of Jackson.
