Gloria Helen Oltremari Durham of Ridgeland, MS, passed away at The Arbor in Ridgeland, MS. She was born October 27, 1934, in Greenville, Mississippi to Louis Virgil Oltremari and Rosa Fava Oltremari.
Gloria was a longtime resident of Greenville, where in her early career she was a dental assistant with Dr. Hugh Alexander. She was also employed at The Delta Regional Medical Center, originally known as Washington County General Hospital. She met the love of her life, John Robert “Bud” Durham. They were married on November 7, 1992, in Pasadena Texas. After they moved to Jackson, MS, she was an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison, a faithful member of Grace Sunday School, and enjoyed attending Wednesday night services. She volunteered for several years at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Gloria treasured her family and family reunions. She loved to travel, especially on cruises with family and friends. Visits to Alaska, Hawaii, Bahamas, and Italy were precious and memorable times.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert “Bud” Durham; sisters, Josephine Carrie Maniscalco, Frances Paschal, and Dena Allegrezza; brothers, Al Oltremari, Paul Oltremari and Louis Oltremari. She is survived by one brother, Davis Oltremari, and wife Bobbye of Ridgeland, Mississippi. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery. Boone Funeral Home is handling arrangements. A memorial service will be held Thursday May 16th, 11am at Broadmoor Baptist Church Chapel 1531 Highland Colony Pkwy, Madison, MS. 39110
