Haley was born in Flowood, MS, and spent most of his life here in Greenville. He had a wonderful childhood with friends and his family. Some of his best times were spent attending St. James’ Day School. He went on to graduate from Greenville Public Schools. Haley always enjoyed listening to Elvis and Country music, and whether on family vacations to Disney, traveling with his grandparents, or playing in the cotton at the farm, he made so many special memories with his family. As his illness, Leukodystrophy, progressed, he touched many people’s lives. Many came to know him, and Haley, along with his friends, was an inspiration for Camp Looking Glass, a camp for children and young adults with disabilities here in Greenville.

Haley is survived by his father, Hal Holbrook; his mother, Elizabeth Holbrook; and his sister, Katie Holbrook Warlick and her husband, Rob Warlick. Haley is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Katherine Holbrook, and maternal grandparents, Owen and Frances Nerren.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the physicians who helped Haley throughout his lifetime, especially Doctors Cannon, Curry, Gillispie, and Parkinson, Stephen Jernigan, and Donna Pinion. The family would also like to give special thanks to Haley’s caregivers, including Ann, Catherine, Donald, Ikea, Jasmine, Jennifer, Jeremiah, Linda, Lisa, Nancy, Shanette, and Teresa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be mailed to Camp Looking Glass at P.O. Box 392, Greenville, MS 38702 (camplookingglass.org).
